"So, SB is coming over tonight?" Lauren asked blowing on her wet nails.

"Yup, and yall need to be leaving because tonight is thee night." She smiled and they stared at her blankly. She sighed. "What?"

"Nic, you're fifteen." Candi said.

"Sixteen in a month. You guys act like you're so much older than me but you're only a year older. Besides, you did it at fifteen, right Lauren?"

"Yeah, but it was a mistake. Stop rushing things."

"I'm not rushing anything. I'm ready. Plus, I wanna show Safaree how much I love him."

"Bake his ass a cake." Candi mumbled.

"You think you're ready but you aren't." Lauren said.

"How would you know?" She asked with an attitude.

"Because you think having sex with him is the only way to show you care. Is he pressuring you?"

"No, I want to do it. Why is that so hard to believe?"

Candi sighed, "Don't waste your breath Laur. She thinks she's grown, she thinks she's ready, leave it alone." She got up and walked out. They heard the front door close shortly after.

"Well," Lauren rummaged through her bag and pulled out some condoms. "Here."

"I thought you said you weren't going to do it again?"

"I haven't but my aunt has been buying them for me every since she found out. You need to be safe, Nicki."

"I know." She smiled small.

"I'm serious. Anything can go wrong. That's another thing about being ready. You could get pregnant or-"

"Nothings going to go wrong." She reassured her.

Lauren sighed, "Alright. See you later then."

"Bye." She watched her walked out.

After she heard the front door close she rolled over to the other side and grabbed her phone. She picked it up and called her boyfriend. They had been together for a little over nine months and he was the best thing that happened to her. When she would hear her parents arguing in the middle of the night he would talk to her on the phone until she fell asleep. He paid her cell phone bill a few times when her mother said they simply couldnt afford it and bought all her school supplies this year. At first her parents said he was too old for her, he was only two years older, but he proved to them that he could be trusted and eventually they fell in love with him too.

"Hello." He answered.

"Babe, where are you?"

"Um, couple blocks away. What's up?"

"You still coming over?"

"Yeah."

"Ok." It was quiet on the line. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing, tired."

"Oh." She smiled. "Wanna spend the night?"

"Nicki," He laughed. "You know that's not an option."

"Why not? Caiah is with my older brother and my mom picked up the overnight shift."

"Your dad?"

"He lefted again." She said sadly.

"I'm sorry baby."

"No, no. Don't be." She became cheery again. "Just an even better reason for you to come over."

"I'll see when I get there."

"Fine." She said with an attitude.

He smiled and shook his head, "See you in a minute."

She hung up without saying anything. She took one of the condoms and put it in her back pocket before pushing the rest under her pillow. She went downstairs and sat in the living room while she waited for him. She sat there and took pictures of herself on her phone and texted to pass the time. A couple of minutes later he knock his special knock. She smiled to herself and went to open the door.

"Hey babe." She stood on her tip toes and pecked his lips.

"Hey." He walked in and closed the door behind them.

"I missed you." She grabbed his hand and began pulling him up the stairs.

"I missed you too." He laughed. "I thought we were supposed to watch a movie?"

"I have a better idea."

When they reached her door she began kissing him and he kissed her back. She pushed him onto the bed and straddled him. She began kissing him again and a few minutes later it intensified. She reached in her back pocket and pulled the condom out.

"Will this fit you?" She asked out of breath before kissing him again. He pulled away and looked at her strangely.

"When did we decide this Nicki?"

"I decided it." She kissed him and he pulled away again. She giggled. "I'm ready. I'm sure." His face still read confusion. "God, Safaree, you would think that you were the virgin." He didn't say anything thing. She gasped and smiled. "Oh. My. God. You're a virgin?!"

He gently pushed her off of him.

"Babe, its nothing wrong with it. Really. I mean we can like, learn together and stuff."

"Nicki, you aren't ready."

"I am! Why does everyone keep trying to keep treating me like a child?!"

"Legally, you are one and all it takes is for your parents to walk through the door and I'll be locked up for statutory rape." She rolled her eyes. "Besides, when I went down on you, you called me like an hour later freaking out and crying about going to hell. You aren't ready."

"Whatever."

"Why do you wanna do this any way?"

"I thought it would make you happy but I'm just sitting here looking stupid now."

"You're not."

"I am!" She raised her voice. "My boyfriend doesn't even want to sleep with me." She began to cry.

"Nicki." He pulled her close. "You can't have sex with me or anybody because you think it'll make them happy, you gotta do it for you. Now, here's the deal. I'm going to go put a movie on. If you aren't down there in fifteen minutes I'll be back up here to take and give you whatever you want. Ok?" He kissed her forehead before walking out.

He left her alone with her thoughts and in exactly ten minutes she appeared downstairs. She said nothing as she sat down beside him and began watching the movie. He smiled at her and pulled her close. They watched the movie until they both fell asleep in each others arms.
